Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network – January Update

Our main news this month is that, after three months of planning and preparation, the WREN Energy Shop(located right in the middle of Wadebridge) opened in December. It provides a local focal point for all energy matters, both energy generation and conservation. The shop is staffed by WREN volunteers and is open six days a week, 11am -3pm. We are getting a steady flow of visitors who can come in to join WREN (membership costs just £1). They can ask anything about energy and we do our best to answer! Typical enquiries are about insulating solid wall houses, getting the best energy prices, or installing solar PV. We are thrilled that we have had 420 visitors to the Energy Shop in the first 6 weeks. During February we will be running workshops on fuel poverty and providing training for the volunteers who run the Energy Shop.
