Rhubarab Farm – February Update

Ashley and Darren starting work at Rhubarb Farm March 2012February have been a very exciting month for Rhubarb Farm! Firstly we appointed 13 apprentices aged 16-18 to work on our Community Supported Agriculture Scheme. All will get a wage and take an NVQ2 during the 20 weeks they will work with us. We then appointed two ex-offenders also to work on the CSA with funding from the Home Office, and two part-time horticulturists to manage the CSA and all those people!

And to add to those positive developments, we have also been granted some funding which will allow us to complete the fencing on our 2 acre site, so it can now be secure for polytunnels and crops and the wildlife area.

Lastly, two sides of the steel office container have been clad in wood, over the insulation materials. And the office has been decorated and is now operating as an office!
We’re moving forward.
