Lauder Trading Post – April Update

Lauder May PhotoSpring madness has descended upon Lauder Trading Post. A Spring Pancake Brunch was a great success, we held a plant sale and were rescued by local garden centre Woodside when all the plants the children had planted died in the unseasonal cold (remember that!). Loads of kids on the day all planted new seeds and took them home to watch them grow.

Along with our core work supported by Vegware, we have also just been awarded a grant to start Trading Post Kitchen. A weekly freshly prepared, seasonal meal with open crafting session. Scottish Communities Fund awarded us £2000 for this 6 months project. Lastly we are running into Jubilee and the hall has been dressed to perfection for the whole town to make use and will stay looking GB fancy in support of 2012 Olympics, check out our recycled Tesco bag bunting and tissue pompoms!
