Community Fund – Calder Food Hub – July Update
We are currently in the second phase of our ‘What’s Local?’ blackboard scheme. By creating a feedback questionnaire to evaluate the experiences of our participating businesses, we hope to find ways of improving the local food supply chain.
Following a well attended AGM in July, Calder Food Hub is pleased to introduce several new committee members. New director Iain Taylor will be acting treasurer for the year and director Ben Oubridge is our new local forum representative and will also be managing the CFH tool library. Web content and social media will now be managed by Selina Gough and Dave Nixon, Sally Hayes is our new secretary and John Atkinson will be establishing a membership database for the Hub. Existing director Kath Baker will be continuing to co-ordinate the project and build new relationships with other local food groups.
Calder Food Hub also says a fond farewell to founder/ director Guy Rees, who has been working tirelessly to promote Local Food through the Food Hub since its inception in 2008. Guy is moving on to develop his own food business, but has assured us that he will still be on hand to help with CFH events.
