Community Fund – Cilgwyn Community Group – July Update
This Summer we supported the first ever Green Maes at the National Eisteddfod which is the week long annual festival of Welsh culture.
Maes Gwyrdd, (means green field) was full of traditional crafts, renewable powe, permaculture, creative celtic style sculptures, flower and veg gardens, folk music and the giant e-Coleg yurt which hosted a programme of top level talks and performance, and everything in Welsh. I was immensely proud of what Nathan and Rawley Clay of Coed Hills Arts Centre had created, working for almost a year and battering on countless doors, calling in favours and stretching money like bluetack to hold things together.. Llongyfarchiadau!
