Community Fund – Calder Food Hub – August Update

Our new Calder Food Hub membership scheme is going from strength to strength. Membership currently stands at about 40, with many local businesses and voluntary groups choosing to join in order to become part of our expanding local food network. All of our members are given a quarterly newsletter, discounts on courses, a personal invitation to all Food Hub events, access to our tool library and community allotment and an opportunity to promote their local food related work through our website and blog.

We have recently had some new membership cards printed and are working with local retailers to offer discounts on local produce to CFH members. We hope to expand the scheme over the next year by attending other local food related events in Calderdale in order to publicise our work in the valley.
