Community Fund – Lauder Trading Post – September Update
The Trading Post Kitchen is moving to a monthly Saturday slot as numbers have dwindled on the Tuesday. So from now on it will be brunch and crafting and hopefully more relaxed for our customers and members. An easy option for a Saturday wintery morning.
Lara and her Kiddies Team have been extremely busy with a film night early on in the month, Starwars and pizza, and just recently, a halloween party. Both were very successful and great to see community involvement. A couple of photos attached.
We have had to shut the shop at the hall as it was a drain on our resources. Footfall didn’t pick up as much as we would have liked but we are opening an on-line shop which is nearly ready to go. We are looking for a new base either just an office and storage, or with the potential to be used as a crafting and shop venue as well.
Some of our group are going to be stall holders at various Christmas craft fairs and will be on the scout for new members, crafters and customers for our Brunch and crafting program.
Our crafting program funded by Awards for All is slightly delayed but is offering Christmas, Valentine and Easter special sessions and the full program will begin in March 2013.
