Community Fund – Rhubarb farm – November Update

In November, we ran three Cook and Eat sessions, the food cooked by young men on our NEETs programme with Abi our Youth Worker, and served to volunteers on site. On 23rd Nov they served French onion soup to 30 people, onions of course from site! We also ran a 2-session Cookery course for people with mental ill health. Lots of volunteer activity this month, with probation placements and a group of Veolia, Nottingham staff doing corporate volunteering days. And 4 of our staff did their tractor training so we can now get our 6 acre field ploughed ready for next year’s cropping. And, very exciting, we found baby grass snakes in our compost heap!
