This year I have been looking to cultivate as much produce as possible, I was therefore delighted to unearth old herb beds at two of the schools I work in. I was pleased to identify chives, oregano, mint, and lemon balm. These old herb beds are ideal for digging up and dividing. Eco club members were given the chance to re- plant the herbs in the school’s gardens and to take some home for planting there too. All of the herbs mentioned will survive over the winter so are a great free and fresh resource.
