Community Fund – Cilgwyn Community Group – October Update

Autumn apple juicing at Fachongle in Pembrokeshire.

 

Neighbours and friends gathered to turn surplus apples into juice with our large hand-powered scratter and juicer. A job with lots for all to do, and the pigs and cows enjoy the pulp.  Fresh pressed is best, but the rest will keep for the winter once pasteurized over slow woodstoves. Other apples are dried as rings.
