Ian Rankin to support our campaign for Parkinson’s Awareness Week!

PrintWe’re delighted to announce that crime writer, Ian Rankin is getting involved and showing his support for our campaign with Parkinson’s UK for Parkinson’s Awareness Week 7-13th April.

We teamed up with Parkinson’s UK to offer 250 cafes across the UK a campaign pack including 800 free specially branded Vegware napkins and an awareness poster to use during campaign week, to help raise awareness of the condition and the charity.

We had a fantastic response, and 270 cafes have now signed up and will be receiving their campaign packs shortly.  Ian Rankin said, “As someone who uses cafes all the time for relaxation and work, I am delighted to see so many getting involved in Parkinson’s Awareness Week.”

Parkinsons_napkin_1402_800xIan Rankin will be encouraging the public to show their support on Monday 7th April at his local participating cafe in Edinburgh. He will be down at Kiki’s on Grindlay Street from 10.30am, so come down, say hello and help show your support for the campaign.

And if you’re on twitter, sign up for the Thunderclap – a grand synchronised tweet on 7th April to raise awareness together. And tweet away with @vegware and @ParkinsonsUK using the hashtag #incontrol.
