Community Fund – Broomhouse Health Strategy Group – April Update

April has seen a great response to our pleas for new volunteers, as we now have Nancy, Sumaira, Steph and Louise join the shop volunteers, and lots more applications being processed!

 

So a warm welcome on board to all the new volunteers, great to see new faces behind the counter, as well as in front (thanks to our handy new postcard leaflet advertising the shop that has gone around the area!)

 

The exercise and cooking sessions are proving really popular, just keep an eye on our facebook page for the tasty results of the cooking.  We’re also working closely with the Broomhouse Foodbank to run classes for their clients, as well as provide fresh fruit, veg, milk and eggs in the foodbags they give out to people in difficult circumstances.
