Community Fund – Rhubarb Farm – September Update

218In September Rhubarb Farm hosted The Langwith Show. It is a traditional village show, with much more besides. Besides the Show marquee and lots of entries, as well as belly-dancers, a rock band, a dog agility display, a brass band and a Fun Dog Show. There were lots of activities and other entertainments and people flocked in from a wide area. This third show demonstrated that it has now become an annual event that people look forward to and gives Langwith people something to be proud of. 45 people volunteered as helpers on the day.

220In mid-September we also hosted a Corporate Day for the team at the Environmental Technology Centre, Nottingham University. They built more raised beds for people with limited mobility, and as you can see from this link they completed it in three and a half minutes, with the help of Rhubarb Farm staff and volunteers! They all slept well that night!
