Vegware Community Fund – now relaunched!
What a great day! We marked the relaunch of our Vegware Community Fund yesterday by adopting a section of Edinburgh’s Union Canal! With a little help from our friends including Tollcross Primary School’s P5 and Scottish Waterways Trust, as well as folk from some of the projects we support. There was face painting, seed planting, our Bin Detective’s Recycling Challenge, a bumblebee survey and much more. And it was sunny!
In 2009, we started the Vegware Community Fund to support sustainability in its widest sense, including the built and natural environment, and community projects, by offering monthly grants or a regular donation of Vegware’s eco packaging.
Earlier in 2015, the Vegware Community Fund won the Foodservice Packaging Association’s Corporate Social Responsibility Award.

Read the Scottish Waterways Trust blog too – they have been conducting vital outreach and education programmes to communities living near the Union Canal.
