Vegware to host launch of 2016 VIBES Awards!

Vegware is excited to host the Edinburgh launch of the 2016 VIBES Awards on the 21st April. Taking place at Vegware HQ, the free event will be attended by key players in Scotland’s sustainability sector. It will also provide businesses with the opportunity to hear directly from previous VIBES champions in the capital including us at Vegware, and City Car Club, winner of the 2015 Transport Award.

Now in its 17th year, VIBES recognises and rewards companies employing environmental best practice in their daily activity to cut down on resource use, increase sustainability, improve reputation, enhance competitiveness, support wider sustainable developments and benefit their company’s bottom-line.

Applications for the awards are open until 30th June, so sustainably-minded Scottish businesses have plenty of time to apply. We’ve been lucky enough to win two VIBES awards in the past, so we can vouch for how exciting it is to receive one!

Gillian Bruce, chair of the VIBES Awards, said: “The VIBES Awards attract interest from businesses throughout Scotland, so to be able to hold free events regionally that allow local organisations to hear directly from previous winners in their area is important to us. The awards not only allow businesses to find out more without feeling obliged to commit to anything but also offer networking opportunities for local companies to get together.”

VIBES is a strategic partnership between Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Scottish Government, Scottish Water, Scottish Enterprise, Highland and Islands Enterprise, Zero Waste Scotland, Energy Saving Trust and Scotland’s 2020 Climate Group.  The Awards are further supported by CBI Scotland, the Institute of Directors, the Federation of Small Businesses, Bright Green Business and Quality Scotland.

See you there!
