Welcoming Helen Mathieson, our new MD
We are delighted to announce that Helen Mathieson is our new Managing Director!

We have a fantastic team, exceptionally strong client relationships, and a lot of exciting innovations for 2023.”
Helen joined Vegware in 2018 as Supply Chain and Operations Director. She has been overseeing all aspects of products – from ideation and manufacture through to logistics and client services. Before joining us, she was Operations Director at fashion brand Lyle and Scott.
Originally from Bridlington in Yorkshire, she started her career in sales as an Account Manager for well-known pet food brands.
Working alongside Helen, Vegware’s new leadership team comprises Lucy Frankel, Environmental and Communications Director, Sales Director Dave Smith, Commercial Director Oliver Elsner and Finance Director Llinos Appleford.

2022 key product launches included Vegware’s award-winning paper cutlery, as well as Nourish moulded fibre range in a warm natural colour. As Wales plans to ban conventional plastic lids, Vegware is adding more client choice, with new moulded fibre hot cup lids coming early in 2023 in addition to existing paper lid options.
In addition, we are also developing our offering for food retailers and manufacturers with new heat-sealable lidding solutions to fit PLA or fibre bases. Get in touch if that’s your bag (or rather, tray with a clear lid).
We’re all ready for 2023. We know it’s a tough time for a lot of people and businesses, and there are plenty of changes coming down the track. But we’re here for all our clients with a range of plans and products we can’t wait to share with you during the year.
