New Vegware and Food4Soil composting partnership
We are excited to tell you about our partnership with Food4Soil, a composting collection company based in the Northwest of England. Food4Soil is dedicated to transforming food waste and packaging into nutrient-rich soil. This partnership will enable food service businesses in the Northwest to easily compost their Vegware packaging.
By partnering with Food4Soil, our customers in the region can now participate in a local closed-loop composting system. Food4Soil will collect and process all Vegware packaging, ensuring that it is diverted from incineration.
Key benefits of the partnership
- Simplified waste management: Food4Soil’s collection service streamlines the waste management process for businesses.
- Support for local communities: The compost produced from Vegware packaging will nourish local gardens and farms, enhancing the region’s green spaces.
- Alignment with sustainable goals: This partnership aligns with the growing global movement towards sustainable practices and circular economy principles.
“We’re delighted this collaboration offers our customers the assurance that their Vegware packaging is being locally composted. Food4Soil provides an excellent service that enables customers to close the loop, with our waste consultancy supporting every step of the way.” said Abigail Lees, Waste Management Consultant at Vegware.
Ian Walker, Founder of Food4Soil said ‘Food4Soil are proud to provide a closed-loop solution for the many businesses and organisations who want to do their best for the environment. Many people are unaware of the importance of segregating food service packaging. Vegware’s products are fantastic but can only fulfil their true potential if it reaches the composting facility in a completely uncontaminated state. We fulfil this important stage in the cycle by collecting, checking and transporting Vegware materials so that they can be treated in the right way.”
